One of the goals of this blog is to optimally cover concepts such as stock market investing for beginners and to integrate my unique investing strategies and opinions. To begin, I am a California Polytechnic University — San Luis Obispo Alumnus [Biomedical Engineering (MS; BS “2018”)] and focused my education in Design Control, Mechanical Design, Risk Management, Statistical Analysis, and Cardiovascular/Neurology Pathology. After graduation, I joined the Medical Device Industry by working as a R&D Design Quality Engineer at Abbott Laboratories’ Heart Failure division. This entails developing Next-Gen Cardiovascular Devices that support a patient’s heart indefinitely (Destination Therapy) or up until they get a heart-transplant (Bridge-to-therapy). Ultimately, this is a field I am passionate about and will continue to be in the future. [ Image 1 & 2. Harvir Humpal ]

Additionally, I believe that passively earning money and financial literacy is a great tool for everyone to have — especially millennials and other newcomers. Couple this with increases in housing prices, student loans, taxes, social security support, and general cost of living (especially in the Bay Area) and it becomes imperative to develop financial literacy in areas such as the stock market.

It is worth noting that I leverage some information from: Third party sites such as Portfolio Visualizer; brokerages such as Fidelity and TD Ameritrade; research sites such as Morningstar and Zach’s Investment; news outlets such as Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and CNBC; portfolio managers such as Warren Buffet, Ray Dalio, Chamath Palihapitiya, and Cathie woods; and my own empirical and iterative research. More to come!
